Wedding Wednesday: Here Comes the Checklist

If you read yesterday's post then you know that we have booked our caterer and picked out our menu! We are using the company Beyond Details (this is the company that owns our venue, so surprise you have to use them, they do weddings at other venues though too). Even though we were required to use this cater, I am in love with the food. Everything we tried yesterday was delicious and I can't wait to eat it. Our menu is pretty basic (2 cocktail hour items, 1 salad, 2 veggies, 1 starch, 2 entrees, plus bread and tea and water), but the food is going to be wonderful. We didn't go for an overall theme (like how some people try to stick to Southern food, Italian food, etc.) and pretty much just picked what we wanted, after all, it's OUR wedding. But I know everyone will love the food.

We are also hoping to finalize our photographer and DJ this week, if not then by next week. I feel like we are getting a lot done! But then I put together a checklist of everything we still need to do and it is SO much! Good thing we have another 13 months to plan :) If you're interested, here's our checklist:

    You have a long list, lady! But you also have a ton of time to get everything sorted out. That's the great thing about super long engagements! I'm jealous you got to test the food already. We haven't done that yet and we haven't planned our menu at all! I might need to get on that!

    We didn't necessary have an intentional theme with our food, but being that we were married at a Southern plantation and used their inhouse caterer, our food was primarily Southern. But awfully delicious!

    And you list look awfully comprehensive. But depending on whether you want to have them, may want to add programs, menu cards, or escort cards to it.
